Lyle R. Johnson, Ph.D., MBA,

Lyle has been coaching people to success for over 27 years; primarily in the context of advisor to management. He has transitioned from advisory consulting to coaching; Lyle is now a Life Coach and Business Coach.

He has an extensive track record of success in Marketing and Sales Management – coaching sales personnel to achieve their full potential. Lyle joined the Procter & Gamble Company after receiving his MBA. He migrated to other Fortune 500 companies, such as Quaker Oats and Cessna Aircraft and then to much smaller enterprises.

He was one of the pioneers of the commercialization of Biofeedback devices (alpha/theta monitors). Lyle has actively pursued motivational psychology – with primary application to coaching and training – and obtained his Doctorate in that discipline.

Lyle has been a Speaker for the American Management Associations, Sales Executives Clubs and various Universities (Fordham, University of Washington, University of California at Santa Barbara, etc.)

He is certified as a Xerox Learning Systems Instructor under a special program of the U.S. Coast Guard. Lyle is retired as a Lieutenant Commander from the Coast Guard (Reserve) in which his primary assignment was Finance Officer.

He is the author of the Manual “Management Training Applications”, a featured contributor, with Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard and others, to “Discover Your Inner Strength” … and he is completing another book as of this writing.

Lyle is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and Institute of Management Consultants (ICM).

Lyle is retired as a Lieutenant Commander from the Coast Guard (Reserve) in which his primary assignment was Finance Officer.

Susan J. Mellinger, M.A.

Susan has been providing guidance to companies, primarily in Organizational Development for over 30 years. Her proven expertise and commitment to excellence has offered her clients the best in employee selection techniques resulting in enhanced organizational efficiency, employee retention, and employee satisfaction.

The knowledge she brings to bear on human resource and organizational issues has been gained through formal education, training and work / life experiences.   Susan holds a M.A. in Psychology and is a Certified Master Practitioner for NLP (neuro-linguistic programming).

Susan maintained a successful private therapy practice for 15 years and then applied her human relations and business skills as she developed her competence as a business consultant.   Susan now guides small and medium size businesses in developing effective selection criteria for the hiring process.  Whether a company needs to hire a Foreman, Sales Manager, Chief Engineer or CEO, Susan’s insight, testing expertise and training skills can narrow the applicant field down to the most viable candidate.

 Her skills, applied to the hiring process, benefit our client companies as well as individual employees through increased morale, productivity and decreased turnover.

Louis Morlando, B.A.

Lou brings a wealth of skills to our organization. He is skilled in Sales (with a focus on intangibles – advertising sales). This advertising sales ability enabled him to establish and publish a daily newspaper; the Bucks County Morning Sun.

He moved on from the newspaper publishing business to establish, in 1981, The Computer Tutor. The Computer Tutor focused on providing application software training to the governmental, military, not-for-profit organizations (and the general public in the local market).  His firm became one of the largest software training companies, thus, it was an attractive acquisition candidate. Lou sold The Computer Tutor in 1995.

His sales and training abilities led him to accept a position as Sales and Marketing Manager for Technical Training Institute. There he resurrected their sales and marketing programs in less than six months.  The division experienced their first profitable month in over two years

Lou then began his management consulting career. He joined an international consulting firm as Business Development Consultant. He continues to provide profitable guidance to small to medium sized business in a variety of industries.

His credentials include a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Marketing Emphasis) and Public Administration.

Jaroslav Kramar, Ph.D., M.S.

Jaroslav Kramar worked as Consultant or as Project Manager, since 1996, with about 300 small and medium sized companies all over the United States. The results he accomplished in these assignments were the implementation of change, increased profitability, development of new sales, restructuring operations and functional organization development.

Prior to entering the consulting arena, in 1994, he joined Ionetics, a medical instrument company as Vice-President of Marketing and Sales. He dramatically increased profitable revenues through the development of distributorships in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines. He was soon promoted to President.

Hewlett-Packard, the employer that brought Jaroslav to the U.S., deployed him in various European field business development assignments; including worldwide factory marketing / product management functions. His transfer to the U.S. was to Scientific Instruments Division in Palo Alto, California where he spent over 10 years.

Jaroslav Kramar holds MS Degree in Chemical Engineering and Doctorate in Sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and Master of Business Administration in International Management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.

Dr. Kramar provides clients of L R Johnson, Inc. (Coach for Outcomes) the extensive experience of operational management combined with an effective coaching and consulting background.

Michael Thompson

Michael Thompson has devoted the past thirteen years helping companies achieve success by providing coaching, advisory and consulting services to small business owners and managers.

Michael began his consulting career when he joined the current industry leading consulting firm during its formative stages and was instrumental in contributing to the phenomenal growth of that company. During his ten plus years at that firm, he served as:

Executive Coach - providing one on one advice to business owners in a different forum

Consultant – providing on site services to numerous client companies

Project Manager - responsible for the successful completion of up to ten consulting engagements at any one time,

Speaker – making presentations on various subjects to larger groups.

His contributions to this firm were recognized and he was honored on numerous occasions for exceptional performance.

Prior to entering the consulting field, Michael Thompson was a principle in a small manufacturer located in Milwaukee, WI. At the time Michael joined the company, it annual sales volume was slightly less than $300,000. He developed a sales and marketing program that contributed significantly to the business; in less than 9 years that profitable sales volume topped $7,500,000. A generous offer from a larger competitor was accepted and Michael sold the business. This step was only taken after assuring that all employees then with the company would receive every fair opportunity to continue their success under the new ownership arrangement.

Michael began his career the transportation industry, spending over a dozen years with Saunders Leasing and with Leaseway Transportation, two of the four largest national companies in the industry. Beginning with Saunders as a Branch Manager, he immediately became known as a turnaround specialist taking a losing operation to a ranking in the top five of the company’s one hundred and twenty plus facilities.

He then joined Leaseway Transportation as a Regional Manager responsible for the operations, growth and profitability of seventeen facilities in a five state area. During his time with this company, Michael’s region was recognized in four years out of five as the number one region in profitability and revenue growth.

Mr. Thompson is a graduate of Xavier University where he earned a BS degree in Business Management while attending on an athletic scholarship. Professionally, he maintains active membership with the Institute of Management Consultants.
